Privacy Policy

Sllips LLC ("Sllips", "we") runs the Sllips parking app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. It covers the Sllips app and this website.

What we collect

Account: your name, email, phone number if you add one, and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text).
Vehicles: license plate and state, make, model, type (car, SUV, truck, van or motorcycle), color, year, and any nickname you add.
Where you live or work: the property and unit or home you belong to, your role there (for example resident, owner, renter, staff or vendor), and lease dates if your property or the home's owner adds them.
Parking: your permits (lot, space, times), changes to the car on a permit, extensions, guest codes you make, and your place on any waitlists.
Payments: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a Stripe reference, the amount and the result.
Reports and plate checks: if you report a car, we keep the plate, time, place, any photo and notes you add, and who made the report. If your car is reported, we keep your answer (for example "I've moved it"). When property staff check a plate or patrol a lot, we keep the plates they checked. This can include cars that aren't on Sllips.
Camera and photos: used only when you scan a plate or add a photo. A plate scan is read on your phone and the scan isn't sent to us. A photo you add to a car or a report is stored with it.
Location: if you allow it, your phone's location is used on your phone only, to show parking near you. It isn't sent to us or stored.
Notifications: a device token so we can send permit reminders and alerts, and a copy of each notification in the app for 30 days.
Crash reports: if the app crashes, a report with the device model, system version, app version and what went wrong. It doesn't include your name or email.

How we use it

To run the app: permits, payments, reminders, waitlists, guest codes and password reset emails.
To let your property manage parking: the property's managers and office staff see residents, vehicles, permits and reports at their property.
To enforce parking fairly: when a car is reported, we warn its registered driver before it goes to enforcement. Enforcement staff can check plates. They see a resident's name and unit only if the property allows it.
To help a property's towing or security company: when someone reports a car in their space, the company can open a proof page for that report. It shows the space, the car (plate, description, any photo) and whether it has a permit there. It never shows anyone's name, email or home.
To keep accounts secure, for example limiting repeated wrong passwords or codes.
To find and fix problems in the app, using crash reports.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Each of these companies, and any company related to Sllips that helps run it, may use your information only to provide its service to Sllips, and must protect it at least as well as this policy does.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a company that takes over Sllips, which must keep following this policy.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your personal details are erased right away. Past permits, payments and parking reports are kept without your name for as long as they're needed for accounting, legal and towing-dispute purposes.
You can delete your account in the app at Profile → Security → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@parkingsllips.com. See Deleting your account below for what's deleted and what's kept.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, at privacy@parkingsllips.com.

Deleting your account

Sllips is the parking app published by Sllips LLC. You can delete your Sllips account yourself in the app at any time, or ask us to delete it by email.

In the app

Open Sllips and sign in.
Go to Profile → Security → Delete Account.
Enter your password and confirm.

Without the app

Email privacy@parkingsllips.com from the email address on your Sllips account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm it's you before we do.

What happens

Deleted right away: your name, email, phone number and password (you can sign up again later with the same email); your vehicles, saved notifications and your phone's notification settings; your access at every property (resident, staff, vendor or manager), your waitlist places and any unused guest codes you made.
Ended: current and upcoming permits end, and monthly billing stops. Nothing is refunded automatically.
Kept, without your name: past permits (with the plate), payments, and parking reports made by or about your car. Properties and payment records need these for refunds, accounting and towing disputes.

Your choices

You can turn off location, camera, photo and notification access for Sllips at any time in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
You can change your name, phone number and vehicles in the app.
You can stop using Sllips and delete your account at any time.

This website

parkingsllips.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Children

Sllips is for drivers and property staff. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
